YUCAIPA ADULT DAY CENTER'S 15th ANNIVERSARY!

On May 5^th, 2011 we celebrated our 15 year anniversary with a garden party luncheon. We had over 125 guest plus staff to attend. The garden was in full bloom with bright colored flowers and the fragrance of jasmine in the air. The food was off the hook delicious!!! The staff (Cheryl, Michele, Annalisa, Lori, and Cindy) did an amazing job with the food. And a big “Thank You” to David Erickson-OTR, and Richard Elshof-Safety Director who is always here helping behind the scenes…you guys are true Angels!!!

We were so honored to have P.A.W.S. (PETS At Work Sharing LOVE) share in the celebration with us. P.A.W.S. has volunteered their time and love with the day center for over 14 ½ yrs. The participants, as well as the staff, enjoy their visits. You can see the appreciation for P.A.W.S. from the participants with their smiles and laughter!!! We love you so much P.A.W.S. for your time.

We also enjoyed the children’s choir of Christ Redeemer Church. The children sang in the garden area for the guest then they proceeded to the activity floor to sing for the participants. The participants and guest enjoyed the children performance very much. The children also came at Christmas time to sing for the participants….these children are amazing and interact extremely well with the participants.

Among the other honored guest was: Oak View High School (Principal, Dean of Students, Teacher, Security Guard, and 8 students). This was a wonderful opportunity to involve our future leader with our organization and to expose these young students to a population of people they have never been exposed to. The students and faculty of the school really enjoyed this opportunity to share in our celebration.

We were honored to have  Carol Fitzgibbons, Director of Inland Regional Center attend the celebration and tour our facility. Other honored guests included: Jonathan and Becky Joseph-owners, CSC’s for Inland Regional Center, Mr. and Mrs. Peterkin, Mr. and Mrs. Hackbarth, Phyllis White, David Springer-PT, Kim Bauman-Pharmacist, RN’s, QMRP’s, FM’s, DCS, JonBec Care office staff, former participants, former staff, our volunteers, and a wonderful group from the Christ Redeemer Church.

A special “Thank You” goes to all the staff who helped make this celebration a huge success. You guys went above and beyond the call of duty. Your dedication to the job is greatly appreciated.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jonathan and Becky Joseph, owners 0f JonBec Care, Inc. Yucaipa Adult Day Center for this wonderful opportunity. I do a job that I love everyday!!! Jonathan and Becky are so supportive and they genuinely care about the participants and the staff. And it is my honor to work here and care for these participants.
